Hackney 2012 Community meeting 25th Oct

Last modified date

This meeting is a chance for local residents find out more about the Olympic plans for Hackney, in particular interest to those of you around Clapton Pond is that Leabridge ward will now come inside the ‘Olympic zone’ in terms of parking during the Olympic period and residents will be given some form of licence to allow them to park in their own street and stop others parking there. This is still under discussion as discussions continue but it looks like it will operate as a giant temporary controlled parking zone. It is being said that closer to the time of the Games in 2012, residents will receive leaflets and messages explaining how it will work.

Come along to this meeting and find out more about this and other proposals about the Olympics.
